Station Report Cards

Within the activities of GEOmon workpackage 2.1 (Network of networks of surface reactive gases measurements) the representativeness and data availability/quality of ground based surface observation sites was analysed. The results including

  • site identity
  • measurement details
  • characterization of 10 and 50 km surroundings
  • characterization of 12, 24, and 48 hours catchment areas

are presented here in the form of individual station report cards. A detailed description of the applied tools and methods together with broader discussion of the results can be found in the report on station representativeness (D2.1.2) and in a research article published in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics.

Based on the above site characterisation a new station categorisation was established for the seletected sites and for a larger set of ozone observing stations that are part of the EEA/Airbase data set.

    A harmonized dataset of ozone, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide measurements from 34 key sites can be downloaded (hourly, daily, data description).
